Hello,

I havea 4 foot aquarium set up primarily for Red Hooks but the still appear to be skittish despite being given what I consider to be enough cover.

I also plan to remove some of the plants as they get larger to give them more room to swim, but I am concerned how it will affect the shoal of Congo Tetras that are also in the aquarium.

Any help will be much appreciated.

So yer sure there are fish in there, right? just kidding. Nice plants though.

 Beautiful aquascaping!! Can I ask how long the fish have been in this set-up? Possible they're not quite comfortable yet. How many 'red hooks' are we talking? How large a shoal of tetras? Were they all introduced at the same time? Are there any other inhabitants? Are all water parameters stable (incl. temp.) Sorry for so many questions, just kinda 'grasping at straws'? "T"

It is 4 foot tropical freshwater containing 3 3" Red Hooks, 2x 1" Red Hooks,6 3" Congo Tetras and a 4" Synodontis catfish.

They have been in for a while but I have read another post that says theymaybe jumpy until they get bigger.

All of thefish bar theRed Hookwentin together (upgrade from a smaller tank). All the larger Red Hooks went in together.

The water qualityand temperature are fine. I will try and balance out the plants so that they are spread out more evenly alongthe rear ofthe aquarium.

I will keep you posted of any developments.
