Ideal PH for Cichla?

What is the ideal PH for adults?... For fry?...

It varies slightly for different species. If you can get around 7.0 to 7.4 that would be ideal as I recall. I'm stuck at 8.0 to 8.2 and my fish don't seem to care. Rapid changes are more of a concern day to day. Trying to get them to spawn is another story and likely where an ideal pH is more critical.
