Right now I have a juvenile green terror and a juvenile jack dempsey, both about 2 inches, along with a tire track eel and a nigerian bichir and I was wondering what a minimum tank size should be. Right now i have them in a 29 gallon but was planning on upgrading in a month or two.

minimum i would try for those fish mentioned is 75 gal. 48x18.i am not sure about the max size of the 2 non-cichlids,so maybe 5 foot tank would be better.

As others have said, 6ft is what would be ideal for the pair when they're bigger. Right now a 29g is fine and can be used as a growout tank though. But, you'll definitely be needing to upgrade soon :)

Yep. The GT kinda just gets chased every once in awhile but he is new (bought him 2 days ago). The bichir kinda just chills on the bottom and the TTE hides all day so they really aren't a problem. Im probably going to get the new tank around christmas time. I have a bit of an ammonia problem so i wont be feeding them much for the next week or so.

I was typing advice to you on how to lower your ammonia levels, and my dog jumped up and the back button got hit somehow :(. So instead of me typing my advice to you on how to lower the levels, I'll just give you these websites. Hope this helps :) ..... (The most important thing I think you need to do, is to stop overfeeding your fish. This is a common cause for ammonia problems. Also, I would suggest you do a water change and vacuum the gravel, especially if you stir the gravel and clouds of waste and other debris is prevalent)
