Just acquired a 125 gallon and was wondering what I should stock it with. Need some ideas from fresh minds. Thanks

well you might get lots of:

with that out of the way lol
personally I am setting up a 125 that's a plecos. (tank is cycling as we speak)
And I have a 125 with a schoal of RBPs
If you had the money a big discus tank would be sweet
or a giant community of small tetras runnmy nose, blood fin, neon. (it would be like 200 fish lol)
A group of oscars would be sweet they are said to school very well in groups of 5 or more. And cheep
Some redhook silver dollars
pacu (lol NOT)
That should get you started. but you are going to need to let us know how you plan on filtering this tank and the overall setup. filters, lights (if planted), substraight, you know the basics.

make sure the stand is sturdy and ground is leveled also check for leaks first before you fill it good luck.
I live in texas so RBP are out of the question. I was thinking of Oscars but so many people have those. I kind of want something differnet. I want to live plant and as for the filtration I have not got that yet. I will pick that up this week but if you had a suggestion on filteration that would be great. I am kind of a newbie. there are no leaks and the stand is sturdier than an ox.
Oh I forgot I wil be using sand an a little bit of gravel for subsraight and I have to go buy the light bulbs.
