Ideas for a new pet?

Hi, I've got a 30 gallon fish tank with a lid, originally it was gonna be a convict tank but I thought it would be fun to keep something else, so what could live in the tank that isn't a fish, it doesn't even have to be aquatic, (nothing that requires a heat lamp) heat mats are ok

AFAIK you only need a guard for the lamp and somewhere to hang it up. You should find those parts cheap on the internet or in a pet shop.
If you do get a heat lamp, ask your mum if you're allowed a snake.

Hi, I've decided to get a pacman frog, I'm going to do at least two weeks of research before buying but that's my decision, I'll keep it in a 20 gallon with a heat lamp

Or a bearded dragon. Although when he gets larger he will need a roomier tank. They need heat lamps and mats.Susanj

Bearded dragons are a boa the tank is too small, a baby will outgrow it in a matter of months and they require heat lamps and uv bulbs or they will die of calcium deficiency, leopard geckos need a heat source of some type, fish tanks don't hold heat very well atall, maby a small turtle would work??
