Hi everyone. Hope you are all well. I redid my JD tank because he grew alot and I wanted to give him more room. I was thinking about adding another plant or something. What do you think? Thank you.

I would give him some sort of hide to get completely out of your view. Even my big guy Casper likes to "get away" at times.

you should try to add some driftwood, my vieja loves to hide under and behind some drift wood. I’ll post a pic of my tankeven though it’s not looking it’s best these days haha. I have also added some Large Anubis plants on the left hand side that I left floating in their shipping pots. Leaving them in the pots was a good move on my part as vieja are known plant destroyers, my vieja now just pushes the plants around when he doesn’t like where they settled. The plants take a bit of damage but are still holding strong
theres 1 fish in this tank that’s about 12 inches and 1 that is 8 inches and they can go hours without being seen

Hello. He's pretty. IM thinking about changing the rock to the left to a bigger one and adding this big hair grass plant that he can hide behind if he wants.
Hi. Nice to see you also. hope you have been well. WOW!!! your tank is AMAZING!!!! I have tried driftwood but I don't like the tannins and the fuzzy stuff it gets. IM thinking about replacing the rock to the left with a bigger one and adding this big hair grass plant for him to hide behind if he wants. I LOVED it when I had the huge rocks in there but i thought with him getting bigger he would like more room. Thank for your help. I appreciate it.
Hello Dawn hope all is well with you too. Your JD looks great! And i like the tank setup but I think that cave is too small for him. Needs something he can fit into, also i would be worries about the setup you have toppling over. A big terracotta flower pot would be perfect, or maybe some driftwood. Something he can easily get his whole body in.
Hello. Nice to see you. I just had the cave made. It's all glued together so it wont come toppling over. I thought about putting a big terracotta pot in but IM afraid it would move around too much and hit the glass. Maybe I can find one of those terracotta caves to put in the corner. What do you think about that idea?
I think a cave of any sort would be fine, but you want him to be able to easily get in and out. The one you've got made of glued rocks would probably be good if it were about twice the size
