Ideas for mangrove roots????

I was going to plant real mangroves but it is to much work for me at this time. So I want to create a mangrove root look I have a 125 gal 72" long.
I have snorkeled and dived in mangrove estuarys (sp?) and islands (in Everglades National Park Flamingo, FL) and it is amazing and would love to get that look, with filtered light. Any suggestion would be awesome thanks guys.

Do a search, we had a good discussion on this with some interesting ideas coming out of it. I believe someone was doing backgrounds at the time.
