Idea's for my 75 gallon

So I have a 75 gallon that I would like to put a pair of really nice fish in there. I wish a 75 was big enough for like red tiger motas, or red terrors but i know thats too small. What do you guys think would be a sweet pair of fish to put in there that would be the absolute largest for a 75? i would most likely buy the fish as juvies and grow a couple out and try and get a pair that way but what are your thoughts?

I was asking I similar question a while back. I was told by one of the cichlid "big dogs" that a 75 would be big enough for a pair of RTM or Red Terrors, the female just has to have an escape where a bigger male can't get to her if she needs it. Others may disagree. I'm currently working on getting a salvini or jack dempsey pair that will eventually move into my 75 gallon.

thats what i was thinking especially since those two species grow pretty slow anyways. i think im going to just do it and if it doesnt work out than oh well.
