Ideas for now unused pump

I recently dismantled my UGJ system and now have a mostly unused Poseidon PS4 pump(1225gph). I have 2 FX5's on my 150g and the pumps only function right now is a bypass for a 40w Pondmaster UV.

Seems to be a waste to have the pump just for the UV. Was thinking of a Lifegard mechanical filter to get finer filtration. Any other ideas as to what I can do with this pump?
 
Looks good.l Do you have any idea how long the 25micro cartridges on the 325/340 last? Would get a little pricey replacing those every few weeks.
 
Wow that would be sweet I want one of those finite filters.

i have 4 of them on my system now for 2 years. and havent replaced one yet i just rinse them out. they also have a back flush vavle on them.

Perfect! I think that's it. I won't even have to do much work as i have supply and return lines plumbed and won't have to change the UV bypass either.

two of mine have UV's built in youll love the filter once you have it running in the center you can take the pads out and add any media you like in a media bag. it will hold a bunch.
oh and on a side note use teflon tape and donot over tighten the fittings!!!! i learnd that one

I'm changing a few things around since going bare bottom. I'll post pics when everything is done.
