Hello I have a all glass aquariums 48X24 fish tank stand and am hopefully going to get a 120 gallon tank for it. I will most likely be using a Fluval FX5 for filtration but nothing is final yet. I would like to hear some good ideas for stocking the tank. Thanks in advance.

first i would decide what kind of fish if it were me i would use real drift would and rocks with fake plants to mimic a tropical jungle. i would put some catfish and cichlids in there like Oscars festae stuff like that.

I have the same size tank with an oscar, giant danios and 2 t-bars.

5 amazon sowrds tons of anubius, floating lettuce and penny wort.

2 C360 canisters
2 300 watt heaters
Double 48'' T5HO light

Love it wouldn't change a thing at the moment

But you have to find the fish that you love,or you will neglect them with water changes. So wait on the fish untill you know what YOU want.

Enjoy the tank!!

Oscars are so common. However I recomend em too I just adore mine.
Bichirs would be cool also
Could also go native with some Sunfish then you don't need a heater.
Fancy Goldfish are another option
Planted discus/angels
Various species of Geo's
Depending on dimensions 120 Is big enough for an adult Red Eared Slider. Or various other species of turtles Musks stay small so you could probably do 3? Not too sure there haven't done any research on them.
Could do a small shoal of Red bellied piranha.

That's about all that comes to me off the top of my head
