Ideas for stocking a 125.(large cichlids)

Hello,
Soon I am hoping to upgrade and get a 125 gallon. I was hoping for ideas stocking wise bc I’m stuck on that. I want to get large American cichlids either a single specimen or a pair. If you have any ideas pls let me know

Single vieja/paratheraps would be cool, many showy species to choose from and they have a lot of personality. Here is a Guttalatum I used to have

For a pair, maybe lyonsi? Underrated fish

Ive been digging argentea lately. If i was starting a SS 125 i would go with either argentea or some type of amph.

I would go with a Amphilophus species for a single fish or you might get a pair in that tank. I also think a pair of Cubans would be cool and you might get away with other fish in there

A chancho may get to big over time but he could live in it for quite a while. You could do a hoga or Amarillo. Both similar to chancho
