Is there any material that I can use to increase pH of the water in my tank & also looks good as substrate?
I know coral chips increase pH but I fear they might wash out the colours of my flowerhorn fish so I'm looking for alternatives..
Please advise.. thanks :)

Aragonite sand will buffer the water.you can mix it with black sand to get a darker look.

You can also keep dark substrate and add aragonite elsewhere... like in your filtration system.

not sure what's available in your area, but yeah, substrates intended for African cichlids typically contain argonite to help keep the Ph up . . .

Just use crushed coral in a media bag in your filter as if it were carbon, in my experience it is more effective this was than as a substrate because of the flow.

I don't think I should be using sand cause I've powerheads in the tank itself & it might make a mess if the sand gets sucked into the filter..

I've thought of putting them in my filters but there's no space left in my overhead filters..

I'm not really sure what aragonite is.. I think I might just have to use coral chips then...

aragonite sand will raise PH and looks better than crushed coral, imo.

Edit: wow, somehow I read the initial post and didn't see any responses. Sorry for restating something you already answered.

around here, AC usually refers to an aqua clear brand filter, and you can almost always take it to be talking about an Aqua Clear 110.

Wanted to add something valuable to the conversation to redeem my earlier newb post :)
