Ideas for unused filters

I have a casacade 1500 and fluva 204 i am not using since i got my fx5. I want to know what can i do with them? any diy ideas ?

You could use one of them for "spot" cleaning in between water changes.

I always keep my extra canisters looped in my sumps. That way if you need to set up a hospital or QT tank, you will have cycled filters ready to go.

thats what I do. keep them alive and well so when something goes wrong you have options.
