ideas from the masses plz

i have a 55 that is sitting empty.
Imlooking for ideas of all shapes and sizes, that will appeal to a person who isnt really a fish tank person. Im looking for ideas to fill it out good, and that will go with a crayfish. im trying to avoid a tank full of tetras, although that would be neat if done right, i want something more...

A mix of african cichlids might be nice, especially if you created a natural looking environment for them to exist in.

Rainbows, rams, and apistogramma.......Good color, and you can keep quite a few for lots of movement and activity

Keep in mind that crayfish are predators and will kill and eat any fish they happen to catch. Especially at night when the fish are more easily picked off .
