I am thinking of getting some 5-6 inch Tinfoil barbs for my 14 inch PBass to play with. Can you guys think of any other schooling fish that get about 10 inches or so that would possibly be a good dither fish for my bass?

Some very large Bala Sharks may be a good option, but keep in mind Pbass will eat anything they can catch and swallow.

It seems like a lot of people have had sucess with using large silver dollars and red hooks as dithers also. Maybe their shape will deter the p-bass from attempting to eat them. <shrug>.

I like free bluegills!

I have had success with tinfoils..I have 3 large tinfoils in with my peacocks.

Silver dollars may work, however the LFS I work at had a school of approx 10 or more silver dollars. It is now down to 2 because of the peacocks.

I think I amgoing to go with the tinfoil barbs since the store I go to always has alot already 6 inches or so.

How big were the silver dollars and P bass?

Silver dollars were about 15cm-17cm.

Pbass are approx 30cm-35cm.

They didn't eat the dollars...they just beat them to death.
