Currently, I have 7 tanks running (360, 240, 210, 210, 180, 150, 75). I’m seriously considering just keeping one tank and it would be my 360-gallon tank. I need ideas on what fish or combination of fishes to keep? Community or Pair? What would you do?

What I have:

Parachromis - 8” female & 12” WC male Dovii Costa Rica
10” F1 male Dovii Nicaragua (Rapps)
8” male Red Tiger Motaguense Rio Copan (Rapps)
8” male Gold Motaguense

Amphilophus – 14” male Barred Midas (Rapps)
Five 4” to 5” F1 Midas (Rapps)
10” male & 8” female Trimaculatus (Pair) (Rapps)
8” & 10” WC female Festae
5” & 6” F1 male Festae

Caquetaia – 8” male Umbriferus
7” & 6” female Umbriferus

Vieja – 8” WC Maculicauda Guatemala
10” WC Maculicauda Costa Rica
Four 3 “ to 4” Argentea

Paratheraps – Seven 2” to 3” Bifasciatus Rio Chacamax

Chuco – Two 8” & two 5” Godmanni

Nandopsis – 8” male & 4” female Tetracanthus (Pair)
7” male & 5” female Tetracanthus (Pair)

Cichlasoma – 3” & 4” Beani
8” male & 8” female Istlanum (Both from Rapps)
8” male & 6” female WC Istlanum red variant (Joe)
6” male & 5” female Salvini,
7 ½ “ male & 5” female Grammodes (Pair)
7” male & 5” female Grammodes (Pair)
7” male Grammodes

Neetroplus nematopus – 4” male & 3” female Neets (Pair)

Hmmmmmm ... tough one. Note I have no experience with alot of your larger species in a tank that size ...

that said, couldn't you mix the vieja/paratheraps/chuco tank with one or two of like the RTM and a freddy? If you could, that's what I would do ...

I said Dovii pair but it all depends on the individual fish. What specimens do you have that stand out amongst others of their own species? That's what I would keep, regardless of the species. The show fish.

What are the dimensions of the 360g?

How about keeping 2 tanks? one with a community of stuff (360g) and the other (240g) with a pair of Umbies (keep the spare female umbie in the community, just in case).

post pics of all of them to see who looks the best. sorry i cant help with a decision. i have 12 tanks running and i feel like i need more cause they are crowded.

I would do a variation of the Pair of Grammodes / Pair of Istlanum / Pair of Salvini / Pair of Tetracanthus.

Pair of Grammodes, pair of Salvini, and then get a female RTM to go with your male. I am biased though, I am dreaming of setting up a 240 with pair of RTM and Jags plus solo Salvini and maybe a solo Carpintes.

I am torn between the two male only tanks. Might be tough to pull off, but beautiful if it works out. If not, I've always thought a full grown dovii pair to be the pinnacle of CA cichlids.

i voted for other because i'd say get females for the male rtm and gold mota and have the two pairs.. that or a pair of haits.
