my 1.5 ft clown knife died within 20 minutes. firstly he gulped at the surface like he was attacking whitebait then within 10-15 mins slowly lost balance by swimming in circles. only mark on him was a split tail under his stomach. he did throw up twice and the only other thing i can think of i a motoro spiked him any ideas

Sorry this is in the wrong section, but yes it does sound like your clown knife got stung.

I have had 3 fish in my ray tank die. I believe 2 were stung and the other one was sufficated.

Someone should conduct an experiment and observe the effects/symptoms of stingray stings on other fish. Has this already been done?

deff do it with feed gold fish or something.............

I am pretty sure if it hurts like a mother to humans, it can mean death to a pint size fish.

he was cut under his stomach on the tail it looked more like a slice, i should also add i think my motoros are starting to breed the male seems to be grabing and biting her and im sure he has been stung at least twice from what ive seen.
