Identification Help--possible new species?

Hello all,
I received this picture from one of my collectors in the Darian River in Columbia. While the fish is a juvenile, I am truly stumped as to what the fish is. It looks to be a cichlid, but the markings are unlike any I have seen before. I have sent this picture to several sources with vast knowledge in identification and they are stumped as well. Any help would be appreciated.

This fish is a wild caught specimen in Columbia. Midevils are not endemic in Columbia.

Hard to say with the blurry body lines and without the fins extended ... first guess would be one of the introduced Tilapia though.

Hate to say it but it looks like the ever present tilapia....

Impossible to identify with that photo.

It appears as though it may be polychromatic based off of the coloration. Maybe just a unique color morph of a Colombian species? Though there are polychromatic tilapia as well.
