I bought this fish as a Texas.... i noticed it was kind of red so i got it cause i thought this place is way wrong. Top picture is when i got it second picture is 3months later

My 3" H. carpinte male is getting the same kind of red on his gill covers and fins.

Yours does look like a Festae x Cyanoguttatus hybrid though. Very cool looking fish anyway!
