I'm pretty sure these are smallmouth bass.There is only one thing that is telling me otherwise.It doesn't ave a split dorsal fin.Just that one...although there is a SLIGHT bump where the first split should be.Anyone on here have advanced knowledge of this?

Definitely not SMB. Looks more like Fundulus diaphanus to me; Banded Killifish.
 
Aw nice!Should I try and get them on prepared?How big do they grow?
Hardy?
I really never knew we had them in the water I fished!It being man made...must be fed by something else then!
 
Several of the members of the Nanfa website keep North American Killifish and can help you with food and housing info on the bandeds.
 
Thanks for the replies, seems as they will be going to my M. dolomieu, which I thought they were in the first place!In my defense, at night and before you know what a banded killi is, they sure do resemble SMB fry!
