The body structure (or head lol) seems to be from a south american origin (Brachyplatystoma family). Would love your guys input!

Would suggest it also looks like leiarius too though (although the eyes seem small). Would need more photos to go on.

These are all i got someone posted this in a fb group asking what it is. Leiarius also usually have large ploches as patterns so i dont think this fits into that catagory.

Just grasping at straws over here with a wild guess lol… Anything is possible these days so it makes it even harder to decipher. I’ve been scouring Planet Catfish to no avail. Things like this bother my brain ??. Especially with such a nice looking specimen. Im wondering if its a fairly available species we’ve just never seen at an adult size, something new… or hybrid…

Agreed! This is on my list of “canidates” aswell lol… no max size listed for this one in particular.
