Okay, I have had this fish for two years and have yet to identify it. At first I thought it was a pictus, I did after all buy it with one and it was labeled as such. It didn't tank long to figure out that it was not a pictus. So from then on I have thought it was a white line pim...now I am second guessing myself. The people on planetcatish.com say it may be Pimelodus blochii but after two years he is only 7" and I would think a blochii would be larger by now.
