1. Went shopping today and was checking all the fish out at LFS and noticed this lil guy. He stood out from the rest of the fish in the tank.
2. The LFS had no clue what it was either because it was....
3....brought in by a customer about an hour before I got there.
Without even knowing what it was (either me or them) I offered them 20 bucks for it. They called it a deal.
Traits so far... about 6". and swims pretty fast has a very aggressive stance. There are teeth in its mouth. It hovers at the top of the tank and kind of resembles the stance of a jardini. Silver in color...pics below.
Maybe I got a good deal...maybe I didn't. But I am happy with it so thats all that counts I guess. Would like to know what it is though lol. How large will it get? Is it a baby or full grown? Thanks for any help you can offer. Sorry pics are blurry...so far the best shots I could get.

beat me to it... watch out it'll jump right out of the tank. They're pretty peaceful though. I had one awhile ago. Maxed out at 8" long. You might have overpaid by $5, but a good fish overall.

Thanks...probably paid a lil' too much for it huh? I have already started looking into it online. It is a schooling fish I see...and can eat bloodworms and tubifex I guess? I see it says max size 8"

Yep - an apollo shark and I'm sorry you paid $20 for it. KEEP THE COVER TIGHTLY COVERED. Feed it flakes and small pellets. He won't bother the feeders.

Replied at the same time. Yeah I added a bit more cover just in case. Thank you for the info! If it's peaceful it sure has an aggressive stance lol. Maybe it was just in a tank full of weak placids and stood out lol. I figured what the heck and paid them for it anyways. I think I may need to find him some school mates though.

Mine schooled with a golden shark and some tinfoil barbs. I could never find more of them once I had gotten that one, and the same went for the golden. They all schooled like they belonged together though.
