Here's my big lapradei I got 3 years ago and it's now 2'.

What variant is this?

Just curious to know... u had that for 3 yrs! never did it occur to you to check on the variant?

I got it from a local guy and he didn't know what variant it was...I wasn't too concerned because it was a nice fish.

It started to grow like crazy when it began eating massivore...now a bit larger in diameter than a red bull can.

Based on your photographs,It looks like a beautiful large wild caught Nigerian P.Lapradei based on its nice,wide and flat head shape and beautiful markings on its flank.Very nice specimen indeed!
