hey everyone I know this is not a monster fish but I can't for the life of me identify this fish. These pics don't do the fish justice but he/she is the most beautiful Rainbow I have ever seen. As yo can see It is a cream color with BRIGHT orange- red accents. I think its a male because he is the king of the tank and I have a male and female boesmani rainbow in there as well. Also he is not a dwarf because he is around 3" long any help would be great. thanks

My guess is that it is a leucistic Melanotaenia boesenani, that is the onlt one I have seen with a fore and aft color scheme instead of a lengthwise one. Try this link. http://members.optushome.com.au/chelmon/

thats what someone on another forum said also. Are these rare fish or not. I have never seen one this way before.

Boesenani are not rare but I have never seen a leucistic one for sale, anywhere. I would guess they are not common.
