I went to a fish store looking for ottos to clean my algae. The ones i thought were ottos were supposedly flying fox and he tried to tell me these are ottos so i bought them. I researched after to make double sure and i think their upside down catfish??

Just make sure you care for them right since they're nothing like otos. They prefer to be kept in schools of 6 or more preferably in water with a pH of 8.0 and higher, although they can be kept pretty healthy in a pH down to 7.5-7.6 or so but I wouldn't go any lower. Feed them mostly meaty foods and give them plenty of hiding spots. They so best in african cichlid tanks or species tanks.

Do they uproot or eat plants?? If they do ill have to return them. My tanks fully planted

I can't say on that one but my friend breeds them in a mildly planted tank with no problems so they should be fine I'd think.

Ill see how they go. Their an inch and I've looked up online but some don't and some will uproot them
