I just got this fish a few days ago for rm 200.00 no certification whatsoever. Just bought the fish for the fun of having an arowana. Am very curious what kind of species or grade it belongs to. This fish is about 6.5inches. Will try to get a better shot.Screenshot_20170425-012612.jpg Screenshot_20170425-012055.jpg Screenshot_20170424-174302_1.jpg

Anyone have any idea which group this belongs to ? Not 100% accurate but as accurate based on experience pls ty

Looks like Banjar Red Asian Aro that is feeding on red mealworms thus the unnatural pinkness.

Honestly I have no idea what it was fed with before but I have had it for about 8days now and feeding it with prawns, small fishes and crickets that feed on berries and carrots.

Thanks for the feedback I appreciate it. Just fed it and here are some pictures. Not a professional photographer though ....

An asian aro there costs the same as a silver here

Give it some time to colour up

its tough to say at this age and size, and more if it doesn't have a certificate. It can be RTG, Banjar Red or even a Green Aro. Not sure.

Nice pic of it feeding.

Just one observation reg its gill, seems to me that some treatment for gill curl already done? Edges of its gills looks like trimmed in my opinion..

Ty. From gathering information all over I reckon it would be some kinda red arowana but not sure which group. The tail the scales show much of this signs. My phone can't seem to capture the actual scales pictures. At the tail part moving up halfway the scales are showing reddish circles. I was also wondering whether the gills had any problem. Good pointer from narayanang76. Since I got it cheap only for rm 200 I didn't bother asking much about the background of the fish. In time to come I will share more developments. Thanks again for the feedback
