Identifying this brown beast

Ok, maybe's it's not a beast but it is the largest one i have :-D. I was wondering if anyone can tell what type of fish this is?

Looks like some sort of peacock and a hybrid possibly.

I am thinking Aulonocara jacobfreibergi by this picture:

It possibly could be a jacobfreibergi, but let it color up. It seems to be male by the way.

How long until they start showing color? Can anyone else confirm him being a male?

Just wait and see if it colors up.You could try and vent it but that is not easy with young fish
