Can anybody identify this fishy? Terrible pic, with minimal fish, I know. my apologies.

and also- when identified, how large does it get?
my silver arowana gets along with it great... for now. But I want to make sure that will stay a thing / hope theres a chance it will.
Thanks!

Polypterus bichir delhezi, captive breed grows 9”-12”, wild caught grows 12”-16”.
It goes up in the suface to breath air.

Silver aro will out grow it and it might become a meal, its better to grow a delhezi first before getting a aro imo.

Ack! lol I guess we'll see how she fares. For now, things are great. If things go down hill, Ill remove her in time if I can. Is this a particularly shy species/ strain? she's hiding a lot, but I'm thinking that may be because she's new and we're also moving tanks (clearly well thought out on my part.)

They dont usually hide, but they dont swim around to much either, when they are small they intend to hide, just give it some time it will come around. What do you feed it?

I believe it’s extreme sinking pellets?
I put some shrimp in there yesterday and neither of them seemed interested.
Try feeding during lights off, most people feed carnivore sinking pellet, tilapia fillet, smelt, and shrimp.
Morst people use pellets and tilapia as staples.

From my experience, your delhezi should be fine with your silver aro especially if they grow up together from a small size.
