well from the pics I doubt anything can be told... sex or variant.

How did you sex? Did you vent or have someone vent... most larger sold fronts are male since females are so wanted, but check to be sure....

most are burundi
But the last one looks like a cross between maybe a mpimbwe...
But that stripe across the nose sometimes goes and comes
But all look burundi to me..

some pics they look like they have little blue and some pics they have nice hints of blue. hard to tell. my burundis look like yours but some of you pics give them dark blue colors on fins.

the camera was set for auto flash. any pic with dark blues was with flash on. the ones where they look faded was without flash and only the light shining thru the tank making their fins transparent kind of. i was assuming they are burundi but i was not sure. a couple of the larger ones have the band across they eyes making me question that. as far as the biggest goes i am leading towards mpimbwe. he has 7 stripes instead of 6. i am guessing sex is male do to the recent forming of the hump. it has doubled size in the past two months. i have not vented him/her yet becuase i really dont plan on breeding him to the others since they are different varients. just kind of wanted to know for the peace of mind

That male you have there is a 7 stripe Mpimbwe?
It must have been bred through a cross bred burundi then to a mpimbwe..
Or what ever way there is to get that many possibilities..
But that camera does show colors you dont see in person...
But none the less good looking as for size...
