IDing retropinnis vs palmas polli

I can't get pictures for a few days but my lfs has a bichir labeled as a retropinnis. I'm not sure how to properly identify a retropinnis vs a polli. His head wasnt green, although it might be a more dull retro. I'm probably just going to play it safe and wait until a better one comes around but I'd still like to know.

Not the best retropinnis pic for comparing..... Anyways the retro will usually have a different head shape then a palmas polli. Also just because the color of the fish in the store isn't the same as either doesn't meen anything these were just a few of hundreds of different sahdes of black/green/gray etc...., of retros and polli.
 
OK, here's some real help for you.
Retropinnis will have a ring of dots/speckles around its eyeballs. Palmas Polli won't.
