I just allowed myself to be talked by a LFS manager into purchasing a 3" golden giant goramy. He knew the potential size of the fish, knew that the biggest tank I will have for the next few years is a 125 but still talked me into it... The really sad part is that I knew all of this too. In fact I did a super extensive research months and years ago as I've always liked giant goramies... 
He gave me the fish practically for free and swore that will definetely take it back when it gets too big (I've been trading fish with his store for years). I feel bad though because this is a first time ever taht I got me a fish that I clearly will not be able to accomidate into adulthood. On teh flipside, I think I'm about to crap myself from exsitement -- I FREAKING HAVE A REAL FREAKING GIANT GORAMY!!!
