Davo's lizard picks thread inspired me to go shoot some herps...but i dont have time to go to a forest or anything like that today so here are some flicks i took of herps that are always around the yard...id them if you like cause i have no idea what they are specifically...never really looked into it till now so anywho...

Brown anoles, cute, fiesty little guys
 
Yep, sure enough. A very well established introduced species. The ones flashing the red dewlaps are males.

Has anyone seen any data re: them competing with the native green anole? I see way less greenies around, and way more browns.

yep thought they were all brown anoles...there are plenty of green around just not at my house...i think im to close to the ocean...closer up by the base of the mountains there tends to be a bunch of green anoles...some day geckos...and every now and then people see knight anoles...which im waiting to catch one...those look awesome...i would love to keep a knight anole...i havent seen one in person for over a year now.
 
Yup Anolis sagrei sagrei are taking over, and are outcompeting greens in many areas. Glad I inspired you!
