if acrylic is better than glass then why

why do i see people that are selling their acrylics saying that it has leaks. sometimes they even say that you have to reseal it? what do you have to reseal?

acrylic tanks can leak just like glass tanks can. instead of silicone for the seams you have to use acrylic cement, which basically melts the two pieces together(chemichal bond). personally i like glass better, but i also have crazy cats, dogs and the worst of all a wild little boy. id rather clean the glass once a week rather than buff scratches out for hours.
