I own two boas. One is a colombian red tail, born in 2008 is possibily %50 hey albino and is currently ~7.5 feet long. My other is also a BCI but a Hog island type. I do not know her age but she is 4 feet long.

Both my snakes where sold to me as female, so that's what I pressume they are.

Let's say I where to buy a male the was a morph or het for a morph, what would be the best kind to get? I'm not really into breeding snakes but I want to try it. I would like one maybe 300-400 dollars in range and that will still look good as an adult. I find babies of morphs look good but the adults look ugly.

Thanks for everyones input :)

I cant get too into the morphs for you because Im just not as into them due to time and cost, but just keep in mind as Im sure you have already, that a lot of people do it and its not as cheap as feeding say geckos, while raising the young. Housing and waiting for them to sell in this economy, kinda a pain right now. Though I think it should not be this way, a lot of people will only buy from reputable breeders if spending much money, not saying they should, if they know you and your stock it should be fine, all Im saying is if you got the room and money then go for it, but if your hoping to sell babies off before you gotta feed them all be careful. You might think you can low ball people but then thats not fair to the breeders who do this for work.

Just things to think about bud, I wish you the best with your snakes, I too would love to breed boas mainly because of live birth. Just try hard to research a type that you know will sell good, which usually means more than 400 for adults.

If you get good advice and do it, would love to see pics of the birth and babies if you pull it off dude, take care and good luck, someone will chime in on morphs for you soon Im sure.
