I was just looking at what the LFS had to offer, when i found this!....
This is a real beauty of a snakehead!

To me this looks very much like a true channa barcha...am i wrong?

Unfortunately, the price is also great..398.000 yen or 3700 us dollars!!

Well, i wouldn't trust the japanese describtion too much...!
Their names are not really something we can recognise...

For example...the auranti, is called golden snakehead in english.
In japanese its called violet snakehead...go figure...

The fish below the barca, is called "spear nose snakehead"..
The one below that, is are you ready?.."blue ray boss superlady"!..

I think they might be a stricta and a bleheri.

HI guys,

the first channa is a stewartii variant, could be "true blue"
second could be stewartii too, but mor close to gachua (not sure, fish shows stress color)
third channa is pulchra
fourth is barca
fifth, well I dont know. spearhead could be diplogramma, well not sure.
sixth is again pulchra.
