If it can't fit in the rays mouth, will it eat it?

Hello MFKers,

I have two rays about 4" wide and want to add 3" NTTs to the tank. I checked and the rays mouths are too small for the NTTs to fit into. Will I have trouble with the mix?

I just heard a story of a guy that had some Med size Blackdiamonds and had some 10"+ fish with them. He did not feed for a few days and the Rays beat the hell out of them (most were dead).
I was not there so I carefuly say "Story" (happen w/in da last month).

Id say if they are bottom dwellers or low level swimmers they have a higher risk

Rays at 4" won't be looking to tackle anything that big. I would be more concerned about the ntts picking at the rays.

You're kidding right? 4" is very small... He wont be able to eat your NTT... Just make sure you keep that ray well fed. My 13" Marble tried to molest my 4" NTT once, I just saw my ray busy doing something and next thing you know a beat up NTT escaped from under..
