Which would you give up? I have moved my Rotkiel Sev, Firemouth, and Blue Acara from the 60g to a 75g, they are all about 2.5 inches to 3 inches now. I'm trying to decide which one to get rid of, because I only want to keep the 2 in the 75g for life.

Which would you give up if it were your tank?

yeah id give up the firemouth they are the least colorful of the 3 IMO

All 3 would be fine in a 75 g IMO

I wouldn't mind keeping all three in it, but a few sites I've read all say the 75g wouldn't be enough for them. I'm leaning towards the FM, but he seems to have the most personality so far.

I'd play it by ear, you might be able to keep all 3 or you might not depending ... but if I were to give the boot to one, it would be the firemouth to keep it somewhat SA.

I would grow them out more before getting rid of one. See if they all get along when they are bigger.

If i had to get rid of one, it would probably be the firemouth. They are just super common in my area and i rarely see really nice blue acaras

I'm going to give it a couple more months maybe and see. I've not had any probs at all with them, even when in the 60g, so there's no rush.

I HAVE THE ANSWER

Build a 10 or better yet a 20 gallon sump and now you have the ammount of water to keep all 3. the 75 has the space for all 3 if they get along.

the only question was water to fish ratio. you get a sump filter and your set.

:headbang2 if you dont want to do a sump and have to give one away keep the ones with personality. beauty is only scale deep

I agree with the others that you could probably keep all 3 in there. none are known to be super aggressive...granted firemouths can be at times but if the other 2 don't pose a threat to it then it shouldn't get too out of hand. I'd hold out as long as I could to see how they do, and maybe add some dithers if you don't already have some. :)
