if my bass ate..... would it harm it?

Is it a channel cat? a bass will eat anything.. ive even seen Chancats eat a bass

Largemouths eat bullhead in the wild so they know how to deal with them, still though. There is always the risk.

i keep my bass fed i just got the catfish and ive only seen the bass nip him once or twice

Honestly there's a risk when your bass eats any fish depending on size. I don't think it would harm him anymore than any other fish. If it barbs him bad enough he might simply spit it out, but he may swallow it anyway, they'r'e pretty persistent, lol. It won't kill him though.
