Hello all,
I have been lurking around these forums for a while now but have never posted anything. I have been absolutely fascinated with anything thing and everything that lives in water ever since I can remember. Unfortunately I thought I would have a better chance getting a job once I graduated college with a degree in information technologies then I would with a degree in biology even though I was far more interests in fresh water biology.

Any who, now I am 24 living in D.C. with a job that is far too boring. Right now I am listing to At the Drive-In and Killswitch Engage, I am also pretty drunk, not super drunk, but enough. I truly wish I would have studied biology in college or pursued a career as a park ranger.

Anyways, I live in a crappy apartment now but could be purchasing a house soon and will have a lot of room for my aquariums. I currently running two 55 gallon community tanks, a couple 20ies and a couple 10s. I discovered monsterfishkeepers.com a few weeks ago and I am very interested in building a 300+ gallon tank. I was wondering what you all would recommended as a first monster fish. I am the kind of person that will research a subject to death before even considering taking any sort of action. Keep in mind that my fiancé supports anything and everything I pursue and loves my passion for freshwater fish.

Actually I don’t care if anyone responds to this thread. I just want to thank everyone who has contributed to this forum. I greatly appreciate all the invaluable information.

This post is proof that there is no right or wrong answer. Personally I have no desire to have a Mbuna tank, I enjoy looking at other people's Mbuna tanks but I prefer to own Central Americans. You are going to need to decide what type fish interest you the most. Once you get that figured out everyone here will be more than happy to help you with your set up.

Oops almost forgot, welcome to MFK!
