Great videos. I didn't know there was much of a market for traditional/fighter plakats here in the U.S.

I have 2 pairs of half-moon plakats I want to breed. I tried breeding both pairs and the females just got beat up a lot. What do you suggest?

Plakat has there own specific buyers, this breed is not the most colorful or the pretties. But there the most aggressive kind, just like the pitbulls.

I tried a breeding bucket filled with about 2-3gal of water and I had some leaves in there as well as half a cup and the male built the bubble nest in it.

Make sure your water level is about 3 to 4 inches high, bettas breed faster in small area. Having hiding space is okay but it will only prolong the breeding process, the male needs to chase the female and tired her out so that she will be willing to come to the breeding nest. Some people are to afraid of there female getting hurt. It may take up to 2 to 3 days for them to breed depending on how you Condition them. If the female is not will condition when she is with the male she will not be ready to breed right away, this will cause her to get beat up a lot until she is ready.

..So your breeding fighting bettas?.....for fighting?

and pitbulls are not bred to be aggressive..infact most of them are sweethearts..they are TRAINED to be aggressive.

If you wanna talk about pitbulls thats a whole different thread. Not only that the true pitbulls dont need to be train to be aggressive unless you have a mut that needs to be train.
