If you knew that keeping stingrays meant that you, for sure, would be stung at least once, would you still do it? Just asking for fun.

Yeah, I'm immune to catfish stings, even the ones reported to be toxic. I probably could shrug off a sting from a ray, too. Even if it hurt for awhile - if I loved having the critter, sure. I'd take the sting sometimes. Technically, not for a ray - but for a sweet catfish, yes. Poke away, little buddy.

You Have PROOF! Lol! :D

I'm allergic to most stings... I got stung by a few bees and almost died or felt like it, I've been hit with a sw ray and had to be rushed to the emergency room.

As for keeping fw rays... well worth it!

I got stung buy a Lion fish and I still love keeping them. But would I knowingly get stung in order to keep one, probably not. A lot of other cool fish out there.

I worked at an LFS as a kid. I had to pull out and bag up a dead FW ray. The stinger poked through the bag and into my hand. The pain was incredible and lasted a long time! But I would still keep them.

Yea it would be worth it. Most venomous snake keepers ive known say its not if you get tagged, its when

I'd take one a month if it would mean no more dead rays.......

:(

Keeping rays is great but loosing them is nothing short of sickening.
