I just came across a group called freecycle, it is just exactly like craigslist, except, everything posted has to be free....the goal is to help keep junk out of landfills. I am in the lincoln, NE area, I haven't seen any moster tanks on here yet (I've only been looking for a few days) but I have come across a few small set-ups and TONS of other neat stuff, just thought I'd share it with you guys, they have groups all over the US, heres the addy (but you will probably be redirected to a yahoo group page that you will have to join):

My wife and I have been a member of freecycle for several years and have picked up a lot of nice stuff...not that your going to find any discarded 500 gallon tanks or anything but I have picked up quite a few books....and have seen a number of repairable tanks in the 100+range. (Two 100 gallon tanks with a cracked side pannels and a bit of work = a FREE 100 gallon tank PLUS spare parts for later...and a stand or two. I would have braught the tanks home and taken them appart if we had the storage space.
