I was in at my LFS the other night and they FINALLY got in some albino red tail sharks. Only thing was that they looked a bit small, and I was telling myself that it was a bit too small for my tank. My tank only has juvies with the largest being 4", so I decided to take a chance because they haven't had them in for a long while.

So I get home, float the bag and then release. Immediately my 3" JD was interested in him, followed him around and grabbed him by the head and wouldn't release him and ended up eating the little guy.

I felt bad on two fronts (1) I knew better (2) It was a $9 feeder :irked:

If you think it's too small, grow it out first...
 
I made the same mistake with my Midas. He is not very aggressive in nature but I found that he still likes to eat! The 3/4" loisellei did not make it but the 1" pearsei did.
