Just wondering how you would beef a fish not, not fry but grown up juvanile / adult fish to add size to them etc

ofc regular water changes but what else, is there any food that gives the best size over others?

ideally im looking to grow my Cichlids large as im finally geting a big big tank very soon :)

essentially, feed them a lot (not TOO much though) and make sure they have very clean water. id do big water changes weekly to keep up with the bio load

feed them what though ?

atm i have some cheap flake which they do not seem too happy with

does flake designed for cichlids work better or is it all the same stuff?

live foods. I have allways done this. because if you put in alot of dead foods and they do not eat it then it fouls the water. But live food can live right along side the fish and when they want one they eat it.----------You could replicate the same thing using dead foods, just feed several times a day and be prepared to do a vacumming daily as well. Power feeding is usually 6-10x a day. Or as much as they will possibly eat. But they will eat alot more live foods than they will dead foods. Its just there instinct to attack prey.

cichlid gold works for me :D and pieces of freshwater shrimp from the grocery store.
