...you could do a lot better than to choose to drink out of the aquarium that has 4 Oscars and a silver Arowana just waiting for you to stick your head in.

Rest in pieces, little guy.

The Oscars are positively thrilled with themselves. The Aro seized the biggest chunk and has a fat tummy. Everyone got to partake, as they are all juvies (Aro's a foot long, Os range from 4 to 7 inches) and a mouse is still a shareable meal.

Can anyone offer assistance regarding how best to get fur out of the water, gravel and filter mechanisms? We are on water change #4. They keep pooping out more of it. It is a horrible mess. I ended up junking an expensive filter when my red Texas snagged himself a mouse a while back because I just couldn't get it unjammed.

The best way is to not feed mouse.
It's an unusual diet for oscars as they are mostly insect eaters.

Where is the tank that mice are trying to drink from it?

Can’t say I have any tips to remove the fur. Just keep gravel vacuuming and cleaning. But I’d be more focused on getting rid of the mice before they reach the tank. I hate mice.

I had this happen years ago when I was fairly new to the hobby.I had a wolf fish in a tank that didn't have a lid on it and at some point throughout the night a mouse decided to try his luck playing around on the rim.In the morning I came down to check on wolfie and the butt end of the mouse was sticking out of his mouth.

Good God this all sounds incredibly messy and horrifying to clean up Haha

Never had problems with mice or anything like that but I have definitely have had spiders and little lizards fall in my tanks before. Only come to find a leg or a tail still on the fishes mouth!

I prefer them shaved myself but to each his own.

My aba knife dream was shot down when my wife and I visited a guy with an aba. His cat was missing a paw.
It bit the cats paw off ?

That's what his wife said. They heard splashing came in and the cat was in the tank. When they pulled it out it had a nub.

The tank top looked like they were keeping Hannibal lector.

Huge aba though. I guarantee it would probably take your finger off. It made a mess of the feeders.
