Hi!

I am dosing food with metro (https://www.discusx.eu/product-page/copy-of-hexa-x-20-gr). I would also like to dose Prazi with it, but the instructions say nothing about it being possible.
This is what I have:
(Seems like pure Prazi).

Can I ignore instructions and dose 25mg per meal for my adult Oscar? He is on the smaller side, maybe 500-600g.
Also instructions say DAILY 70-100% waterchanges when dosing this prazi, this HAS to be BS right?

Thanks!

Ps. The Oscar is bloated. Have another thread about him, but this is so specific I figured I'd make a new one.

RD. RD.

How big is your tank? Just an fyi. Don’t think you need to use praziquantel for the Oscar.

I have recently been dealing with bloat in some new fish as well, after honestly never having dealt with it before so have been doing lots of reading up on treatment. Everything I've read has stated that of two known treatments - Clout and metronidazole - Clout is the one that has a much better success rate. So adding prazi is likely a good idea, with that in mind.

This isn't a new fish though, I've had him for 6-7 years and no new additions to the tank in 3 years. So is it likely that its worms then? I think it's that reason he is recommending against Prazi.

If he has bloat, then Prazi could be helpful. Clout - which you can't get anymore - is a combination of metro, prazi, and malachite green. And everything I've read says that Clout works much better for bloat than just straight metro does.

But is it so likely he has bloat due to internal parasites that Prazi would treat, given the age of the fish and no new additions?
kno4te kno4te was that the reason you didn't suggest Prazi?

Prazipro won’t work on hexemita. Can try it.
