Most people prefer 5-10 loaches in a tank but 3 is ok as well if you just want to try them out. The biggest loach recorded in aquarium is probably 11.5". It would take 11 yrs + to get one that size. You would have a masterpiece of you have a loach that big.

No secret. Just 83f temp and keep water clean
