Illegal Fish to keep in California List (Hoplias species question).

I just look at the list and copied the information about Hoplias species.

*(D) Family Characidae-Characins
1. Astyanax fasciatus (Banded tetra) (D).
2. All species of the genera Serrasalmus, Serrasalmo, Pygocentrus, Taddyella, Rooseveltiella, and Pygopristis (Piranhas) (D).
3. Hoplias malabaricus (Tiger fish) (D).*

Why's Malabaricus is on the list of fish illegal to own but not Curupira or Aimara? and Why's Malabaricus has more potential invasive species than other 2 Hoplias? I would like to know a proper reason, thanks in advance!

H. mal was the only species identified at the time the list was promulgated. If it were me, I'd not question the other species status too loudly.

Yep just feel lucky its only 1 species. They all look alike when small so it becomes a name game if you get my drift..
