Illness...help!

Okay I had an odd occurance...my 6' sengal died horribly. I was at work and did not see the body. My wife said he was not all stiff, but slumped over and looked like his stomach exploded outwards, but not through the skin

Now I have a bala shark with this odd what patch of white the side of his stomach. It looks like he is almost scaleless, or it is a really thick growth that was not there yesterday.

I just did a 20% water change yesterday, and my water now has a cloudy tint to it. I have Jungle Ick clear and Fungus Clear on hand, and acess to a nearby petsmart.

Any advice would be helpfull...

I would do a 50% water change and add fungus clear and malafix for a couple days. If no change after a few days use permaguard because it might be internal parasites. Gl.

Sorry for your loss but try to save those who are left... If i were you, I'll do a large water change frequently...

I let the antifungal go for 3 days, then did a 50% water change. The white fungus now seems to be gone, but the side is red and tender looking. I think I am going to hit them with an anti-parasite drug for three days, then do another 50% change. So far all of the other fish appear normal.
